The three main components of homemade cat food are rather simple - just by doing a little research, and hour of your time and you are off to a fabulously healthy kitty kat relationship that will last much longer than if you feeding that horrible commercial poison tainted food!

  Homemade Cat Food Book

First - You need to know which ingredients are harmful to your cats. There are some online stuff and old books out there that were written before knowing how a dog and cats digestive systems are different. Please make sure you know what harmful ingredients can be in Homemade Cat Food.

Second - You need to know what combinations of homemade cat food and ingredients are dangerous and shouldn't be mixed together. A complete listing can be found in our book - homemade cat food.

Third - There are certain essential vitalizing nutrients that cats need in their homemade cat food, more so than dogs. These special ingredients must be included in your cat food for optimal nutrition.

If you are taking the time to do this - then you should take the time to train yourself right!

Too many cat owners have experienced the gut-wrenching grief of losing a kitty recently and that they have written to tell us how they will NEVER purchase commercial cat food again! We felt it was important to provide the necessary resources to help you find quality healthy homemade cat food recipes.

When you begin making your homemade cat food there are some very important considerations. Be sure to research what foods are not good for cats, like onions, garlic and salt. Other food sources to steer clear from when making homemade cat food is chocolate, raw eggs, any kind of pork ( including bacon), milk, bones, raw fish and alcohol of any sorts.

Kitty Cats require five times more protein than dogs do, so using a recipe for dog food will need to utilize additonal sources of protein. Simply feeding them a standard dog food recipe will fill them up, but they are not getting the amount of protein they need from their homemade cat food recipe you are preparing for them. Kitties really do not fare very well on veggie only diets, unless you are very careful to get in the required amount of protein from soy and tofu sources.

When deciding to use either fish or liver as your base in your homemade cat food recipes, be sure to take into consideration how much mercury you are giving your cat. Look for tuna sources that are lower in toxicity and do not feed but once or twice a week. If your kitty is on any vitamin A supplements, be sure to not give as much liver. Too much vitamin A can be toxic to kitties too in your homemade cat food recipes.

Here is one example of some of the great homemade cat food recipes you can expect to enjoy with your feline in our Homemade Cat food Recipe Book for only $7.00. That is less than a fast food lunch for one day, but for the same amount you can save the life of your cat FOREVER!
